Members of the group and guests where invited to a meeting in April at the Methodist Church Hall to a talk and demonstration of quilting.

Two members of the Quilting Guild showed samples of their work - brought in very large Ikea bags! They explained how various designs were put together, by overlaying fabric strips or shapes. One member quilted by hand, whilst the other quilted on a sewing machine.
There were large quilts, small quilts, table runners, wail hangings, cushion covers, sewing boxes and bags. The afternoon was very interesting and we finished with afternoon tea, homemade scones, jam and cream, which was very enjoyable.

A further talk is planned for the Autumn, as everyone enjoyed themselves and would like to learn more about quilting.
